The results of interregional cooperation of Krasnodar Region in 2009

Positive dynamics of social and economic development of our region with the subjects of the Russian Federation, despite the unstable economic situation in the country, is maintained by the intensity of the development of interregional links. Turnover of Kuban with the regions of Russia has been increased yearly. According to the territorial authority of the Federal State Statistics Service of Krasnodar Region in 2008 the turnover amounted to 211.5 billion rubles.

The highest turnover is in the Central Federal District and it is 83.1 billion rubles in 2008.

According to the data presented in the table we can conclude that the balance of trade turnover of our region with other regions remains negative.

Krasnodar Region supplies to the regions of Russia agricultural products such as grain and processed products, vegetable oil, sugar, alcoholic products, as well as mineral fertilizers and harvesting machines. There is a wide range of services of resort and tourist industry.

Regional governments are the main consumers of Krasnodar Region (in 2008, bln.rub.).

Krasnodar Region imports a wide range of products that it either does not produce or produce in insufficient quantities. This list includes: ferrous metals, steel pipes, cars and trucks, passenger transport, heavy construction equipment, beer, canned fish, confectionery, diesel and other fuels.

At the present time the Administration of Krasnodar Region signed 72 agreements with the regions of the Russian Federation, and 5 protocols of actions to implement the main regulations of the agreements. An agreement and protocol of activities with Leningrad Region is in the stage of signing, agreements and protocols with Nizhny Novgorod, Amur and Kursk regions are on approval. In 2009 two agreements of trade, economic, scientific, technical, social and cultural cooperation of Krasnodar Region and Saratov and Tver regions, as well as a protocol of implementation of the regulations of this agreement were signed. The Department of External Economic Activity is carried out updating and upgrading of the existing data of agreements on trade, economic, scientific, technical, social and cultural cooperation with the regions. New plans and protocols, as well as implementation of previously concluded protocols is actively developed together with sectoral executive bodies and local government bodies of municipalities of Krasnodar Region. Activities developed on the basis of specific proposals of the authorities lead to the increase of turnover and the development of new forms of cooperation. It provides the development of relations with the regions of the Russian Federation not only in economy but also in health, culture, education, mass media, youth and family policy.

"The catalogue of competitive enterprises in Kuban" was formed in order to increase trade turnover and expand cooperation between Krasnodar Region and the subjects of the Russian Federation. This catalogue is published on the official Internet resource of the Department of External Economic Activity (www.gokuban.ru) in the section "Interregional Cooperation", and on the official Internet resource of sectoral executive bodies of Krasnodar Region. The Department together with the authorities of the subjects of the Russian Federation places the catalogue on the official Internet resource of sectoral ministries and agencies (in more than 50 regions of the Russian Federation). There are agreements on the dispersal of the Catalogue in the organizations interested in cooperation with the Kuban manufacturers and during the exhibitions and presentations.

We also receive similar information from a number of the Russian Federation subjects. There is a special section on the official website of the Department "Proposals of the Russian Federation subjects", representing the catalogues of the enterprises, lists of products, producers contact information.

Kuban delegations, including the heads of executive bodies and municipalities, business representatives of Krasnodar Regions, traditionally participated in the presentations and exhibitions of the economic forums in St. Petersburg, Krasnoyarsk and others. Companies of the regions of the Russian Federation also participated in the exhibitions, forums ("YugAgro", "Golden Niva", etc.). Delegations from 54 subjects of the Russian Federation, 27 of which were headed by the heads of the regions participated in the VIII International Investment Forum "Sochi", held from 17 to 20 September 2009. During the forum the majority of the regions presented their potential and organized the expositions. 21 Russian regions signed 259 agreements worth 507.8 billion rubles.

There are six Representative Offices in Krasnodar Region: Adygeya, Dagestan, Bashkortostan, Ingushetia, North Ossetia-Alania and the Chechen Republic. It is considered a question of opening Representative Offices and trading centers of Krasnodar Region and similar organizations in the regions. The Representative Office LLC "Chetra-Industrial machineries" of the Chuvash Republic was registered in Krasnodar. It is aimed at establishment of business contacts and possible cooperation on the implementation of technology of industrial production in the Kuban. A joint stock company "Minplita" (Chelyabinsk Region) also opened its sales office in Krasnodar.
