During St. Petersburg International Economic Forum President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev said that presentation of the project of the development of the North Caucasus as a tourist center will be a starting point for solving problems in the region.
“I understand that everyone has their own interests, each head of the republic is looking at its own republic as on the territory that is given to him. There are land issues which are very complicated in the Caucasus, there are disputed issues, but I am guided by your tact and your ability to solve these issues”, - he said to the leaders of the North Caucasian regions.
“It is appropriate to develop resorts in the Caucasus”, - the President said. “People who live in the Caucasus are very hospitable and provide a variety of services. We should take into account any problems that can arise”.
During St. Petersburg International Economic Forum Dmitry Medvedev, the President of the Russian Federation said to the heads of the North Caucasian republics: "We must act!" The signing of an Agreement of Intents between the Ministry of Economic Development and the heads of the subjects of the Russian Federation was the first action towards implementing the new project "Resorts of the North Caucasus".
“We have been ardent supporters of the promotion of this unique project for our country. I am very pleased that today the tourism cluster in the North Caucasus Federal District, Krasnodar Region and Adygeya becomes a reality!” - said Alexander Tkachev, Governor of Krasnodar Region. First Vice-Governor Dzhambulat Khatuov was the first who signed this Agreement.
