First Deputy Head of Administration (Governor) of Krasnodar Region Dzhambulat Khatuov met and negotiated with the head of the Ministry of Trade and Investment of UK Sir Andrew Cahn during the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.
It was discussed if the UK Trade Representative Office in Russia and Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Herefordshire can assist Kuban export companies in promoting products on the British market. The British side was informed about the priority directions of cooperation between Krasnodar Region and Great Britain, the list of priority investment projects of Krasnodar Region, as well as specific proposals of Kuban enterprises interested in supplying products and services in the UK.
Sir Andrew Cahn headed the Ministry of Trade and Investment with the UK since March 2006 has great experience in the field of international enterprise. He worked twice at the Permanent Representative Office of the British Foreign Ministry under the European Union, in the mid 90's he was Deputy Head of European Secretariat, Cabinet Office. In the period from 1984 to 1988 Mr. Cahn worked at the European Commission under the Cabinet of Lord Cockfield, where he was responsible for planning and implementation of the Single Market program. In 1997 Andrew Cahn headed secretariat of Neil Kinnock, Vice President of the European Commission and the Commissioner of the European Commission on Transport. In 2000 he became Director of Government and Industry Affairs, British Airways.
This and other companies of the UK were invited to participate in the International Investment Forum "Sochi-2010" which will be held from 16 to 19 September 2010.
