Visit of delegation of the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany
From 15 to 16 December the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Republic of Germany Ulrich Brandenburg paid an official visit to the Krasnodar Region.
During the visit the Ambassador attended the opening ceremony of new dialysis center of the German company "Fresenius Medical Care". He also met with the leadership of Administration of the Krasnodar Region and the municipality of Krasnodar City, visited the German company "CLAAS", and held a roundtable discussion with students of the Kuban State Technological University.
During the meeting the Deputy Head of Administration (Governor) of the Krasnodar Region Dzhambulat Khatuov discussed with Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany the current cooperation between the Krasnodar Region and Germany, as well as its development prospects. One of the priority areas of cooperation between the Krasnodar Region and the administrative and territorial units of Germany is the development of tourism and investment in the tourism industry. Administration of the Krasnodar Region approved this idea and agreed to consider future projects in this sector as well as partners that German party proposed to realize them. The First Deputy Head of Administration (Governor) of the Krasnodar Region Dzhambulat Khatuov offered representatives of the Embassy to hold a conference for German business in order to present the investment and export potential of the region.
Besides the economic development the Ambassador mentioned the active development of the social and cultural interaction. He offered to plan joint activities of the upcoming Year of Germany in Russia.
Ambassador asked several questions relating to employment of the population in the region, the migration situation, human resources, preserving the traditions of the Cossacks in the Kuban, and many others in order to learn the terms of a stable social and economic development of the region.
