Working meeting in the Russian Foreign Ministry with representatives of administrations of southern cities of Russia
On 21 June 2010 a meeting of Black Sea cities of Russia was held in the building of the Russian Foreign Ministry. The meeting was held on the initiative of the Russian National Committee (RNC) of the BSEC and chaired by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia Andrey Denisov. The representatives of Krasnodar Region resorts– Sochi, Anapa, Tuapse, the representatives of Taganrog and Azov, Rostov Region, representative of Stavropol, representative of Administration of Krasnodar Region, representatives of the Economic Cooperation Department of Russian Foreign Ministry, representatives of the RNC of the BSEC took part in the meeting.
The purpose of the meeting was development of a unified approach of the Russian Black Sea municipalities on regional economic co-operation issue. The main topic was discussion of possible participation of the Black Sea cities in the International Black Sea Club.
The Deputy Director of the Department of Economic Cooperation of Russian Foreign Ministry Sergey Goncharenko made a speech on the activity of the BSEC and the implementation of its projects during the meeting. Chairman of Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Taganrog Alexander Amerhanov told about the International Black Sea Club, representatives of administrations of the southern cities of Russia shared experience of participation in IBSC, Chairman of RNC of the BSEC Victor Arkhipov made a speech on the same question.
At the end of the meeting representatives of Krasnodar Region and Stavropol showed interest in participation in the IBSC. Representatives of the Russian Foreign Ministry and the RNC of the BSEC in turn promised to assist to the cities of the South of Russia in the IBSC participation.
