2010 is the Year of Russia in France and the Year of France in Russia

The result of two-years preliminary work has been the coordination of two programs: the Year of Russia in France and the Year of France in Russia, intended to reflect the special partnership between Russia and France, and to assist in strengthening them further.

Final conference of the German energy agency “Dena”

On 29 January 2010 a conference of the German energy agency “Dena” was held in Krasnodar. The topic of the conference was “Sochi: analytical report on Energy Efficiency of the Winter Olympics-2014”.

From 30 November to 3 December 2009 a delegation of Danish businessmen led by the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Kingdom of Denmark in the Russian Federation Per Carlsen visited Krasnodar Region.

Turkish entrepreneurs visited Krasnodar

On 3 and 4 December a delegation of representatives of business circles in the Turkish Republic led by the Trade Representative of Turkey in Russia, Atilloi Kizilarslan, visited Krasnodar.

Sochi is to host the 2010 Peace and Sport international forum

The Russian resort  city of Sochi, where the Olympic Games are to be held in 2014, will host the major Peace and Sport international forum two years earlier, in 2012, the Sochi 2014 Organising Committee Press Service announced on Wednesday referencing Vice Premier of the Russian Federation Dmitrii Kozak.

Visit by the Ambassador of Nigeria

From 25 to 28 October 2009 a delegation from the Federal Republic of Nigeria led by the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador for Nigeria in Russia Timothy Mai Shelpidi made an official visit to Krasnodar Region.

Results of participation by an official Krasnodar Region delegation in the St Petersburg International Economic Forum 2009

The official Krasnodar Region delegation took part for the fourth time in the work of the International Economic Forum in St Petersburg. This year the key theme for discussion by world leaders was setting up a post-crisis world financial architecture. In the conditions of the global economic crisis heads of states and regions in Russia, leading economists and winners of the Nobel Prize developed practical recommendations to stabilise the world economy.

The Department of External Economic Activity of Krasnodar Region has concluded an Agreement with the state educational institute the Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation

The Administration of Krasnodar Region pays particular attention to the external economic contacts of the region, actively participating in international exhibitions and forums, holding presentations abroad, welcoming numerous delegations of representatives of political and business circles of foreign states, and developing trade economic and cultural cooperation.

A German delegation of representatives of small and mediium sized business in Bavaria (Federal Republic of Germany) will visit Krasnodar and Sochi from 16 to 20 June 2009

The visit by the delegation has been organised by the non-profit organisation Bayern International GmbH with the assistance of the Kommit Yug company (development of German-Russian projects).

On 10 June this year representatives of the Alcatel-Lucent company led by the Consul General of the Kingdom of Belgium in St Petersburg, Marie-Johane Roccas, made a working visit to Krasnodar. The programme of the visit included meetings with the Head of Department for Transport and Communications of Krasnodar Region, as well as negotiations with the management of the Yuzhnaya Telekommunikatsionnaya Kompaniya on expanding the sphere of cooperation in the field of telecommunications.
